Emigre sits between a Absaroka Mountains and the Gallatin Mountains. These are at a base of 10,567' foot tall Emigrant Peak.

Wildlife
Due to its location next to the Yellowstone River, Emigrant occurs as popular region for fly fishing, and likewise front yard to numerous mintage, like American Badger, Black-billed Magpie, deer, elk, and on occasion American Bison and wolves.

From either Outgoer, these are merely two or three miles to the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area, and a Gallatin National Forest. Outgoer's proximity to the national forests, woods locality, Yellowstone National Park and the Yellowstone River make it an ideal spot for outdoorsmen to visit & infect.
